Meet Betty

This week Betty's foster mommy is going on vacation. So I get to baby sit. Wa hoooooooo! My favorite thing to do. Play with a pittie.
Betty and I have a full weekend planned. First we'll start by learning not to eat the cats then we'll have an adoption event on Sunday and lot' s of love and attention. We'll also go over manners. Manners are very important.

Oceanside dog beach

Tomorrow is my day off. Kinda not really. I'll start my day by going by my store to say Hi to a new adoption partner. "Even Chance" they are a pitbull rescue, resource, and education group. My favorite. I have a passion for the pitties. Then I'll shot over to Oceanside Harbor. Us "dog people" will be meeting up and walking to City hall to petition a dog beach in Oceanside. Any and all dog people and their pets are welcome. We need support. My dog Tiva and I are excited.
Tuttle and friends pickin' out their favorite treats.

Brayden came for the treats. Giant cookies !

I love my job

I work for a great company. I'm able to have an opinion instead of being a monkey that the corporate jerk tells how high to jump. All managers meet every two weeks at the office and we go over good, bad, and what we'd like to see in our stores. I have great customers that love their pets and love our stores.

My store

If you don't know I am the general manager of the best pet store around. We specialize in natural and holistic products for pets. A few times a year I plan a Customer Appreciation Day. I ask my food reps to come out and my favorite adoption group and we have a big party basically. Weather was great and sales were even better. I had reached my quarterly bonus goal by noon and had three days left in the quarter.Needless to say I was a happy camper. After my sales goal anything above it I get 5% added to my bonus. IT was a great day.

Thank You Nana

Last weekend Brayden had a sleepover with my mom. My mom and step dad did a good job of tiring him out. He got home around 5pm or so on Sunday and fell right to sleep. Butt in the air and everything. That's how you know he is really tired. Also in the picture is his babies. All of his stuffed animals are his babies. It's so cute every night I read a story to him and his babies and I tuck everyone in. He says " mom will you make us snugly."

Such a sleepy head

Brayden when he was soooo chubby. This was taken a few years ago at Bass Lake. One of the best places to be.

Life Happens....

If you've talk to me in the last week you know it's been rough. My son's father was hurt very badly last week and it's difficult to be so far away. He's doing better and every day he gets stronger. Prayers have been the difference. Thank You for your prayers and support during this difficult time. Life throws you curve balls, it's how you handle it that defines who you are.

The real pack leader.... Chico

This is my friend Christina and her pack leader Chico. Christina and I are really into animal welfare and plan on opening a business together. It will be a dog gym where owners will have access to doggie daycare, agility, training, and grooming. We hope to include a hydro therapy pool to help rehabilitate injured dogs. We'll also kennel dogs for our rescue partners. Can't wait until that dream is a reality.

Brayden was almost a Duke snack. Just kidding... It just looks like he wants to eat him!

And Zoe... Well Zoe is the Supermodel. She loves to pose.

Duke is the jumper

Chico is the digger

We got some great pics the other day at the beach

Tiva is the swimmer of the group

The pack

From the top Chico the chihuahua, Duke the Great Dane, Zoe the "orange one" chow/husky/coyote, and Tiva the prettiest Pit Bull ever, That's right I said ever

I love to watch his expressions when he watches the animals. It's funny because when he had curls we couldn't ever see his eyebrows move. So after we cut his hair we were like " did he always make that funny face."

Dolly

Dolly is Brayden's favorite because she jumps the highest. Any dolphin he see's is called Dolly now.

SeaWorld

It was a little chilly that day. Brayden watched most of the shows wrapped like a burrito. He is really into animals right now. I'm not sure ,but I think that I might have something to do with that!

the curls

Oh, how I miss his curls. This was at a good friends wedding. After the ceremony Brayden ran over and picked up a flower to smell it.

Brayden and his drum

This is my favorite way for the drum to be used. Quietly!

Thank You Aunt Kim

My lovely sister had a "great" idea to get Brayden a drum for Christmas. Thanks Aunt Kim. Don't worry your time is coming. I plan on getting your child a tattoo :)

Good thing he has a round head

I'm still getting used to this buzzed head thing

New do

Brayden says his new "short" hair cut makes him skate better.

Surprise!

Bye , Bye curls. Brayden asked my boyfriend James to give him a "short" haircut. Short is right. I came home from work and surprise my baby is bald. I keep telling myself not to worry. The curls will grow back. I hope...

Anyone can help...Even just a little bit

Kobe has been with his adoptive family for a few weeks now. I always say "if everyone can just do one thing to help animals , even something small it will add up to make a big difference". While awaiting my next foster I volunteer at San Marcos Kennels. They house dogs from several rescues.I'm there to work with my favorite breed "the pitties". We walk, socialize and teach them their manners. Most of these dogs were awaiting euthanasia. Now they are safe and waiting for their forever family to welcome them into their home.

Meet Kobe Beef

Kobe came into my life in Oct. 08'. He was a dirty and skinny stray running loose in my neighborhood. After being unable to track down his owner I took him to the local humane society in the hopes that his owner would find him there. With More than 50% of animals in Humane Societies being euthanized every year with Pit Bulls being first on the list I put a hold on Kobe. A month or so later he had been deemed un-adoptable. So with days left before being euthanized Kobe came to live with me. This is one great guy. There is no such thing as un- adoptable.

My Tiva loving life with her friend

When the Park Rangers are away the Dogs will play

The Park

There is a great park that we love to go to. There is a duck pond with birds and turtles. Tons of trails, and a playground for the little ones. My dogs love it to because there is huge green belts that they can really let loose in when the park rangers aren't looking.

Brayden

I had been wanting a new camera for a while now. This past Christmas I was finally lucky enough to receive it. I never go anywhere without it now. It takes amazing pictures. I'm sure it helps that Brayden is one handsome little boy.

I'm new at this so be kind.....

Brayden grows by the minute so I'm breaking down and joining the world of technology so I can share pictures with you of my favorite person ever, my son. This picture is of our favorite place to be dog beach.
